The NSW Blues have claimed the State of Origin shield for the first time since 2021 and won their first series decider at Suncorp Stadium in 19 years.
An all-time classic, the match will go down in history as one of the best first-half performances in Origin history. The victory is also Michael Maguire's first in the State of Origin arena after taking over the coaching reigns from Brad Fittler.

TRY - Mitchell Moses scores. The star halfback places a left-foot step on Harry Grant before breaking through a Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow tackle and running straight past Reece Walsh.
Zac Lomax converts the try as NSW Blues take the 14-2 lead.

TRY - Bradman Best scores the opening try of the match. Jarome Luai breaks through the QLD defence after throwing a dummy and links up with Best on his outside who fends off Newcastle Knights teammates Dane Gagai and Kalyn Ponga to cross the line.
Zac Lomax converts the try from the sideline swinging the ball back into the goal as NSW Blues take the 8-2 lead.

The official team lists have been confirmed, with theย NSWย Bluesย andย QLD Maroons making no late omissions.
However, QLD have made several team changes with Ben Hunt, Lindsay Collins and Jeremiah Nanai moving to the interchange bench.
The new front-row will consist of Moeaki Fotuaika and Felise Kaufusi while Harry Grant will start at hooker and Reuben Cotter has been pushed to the second-row.

Earlier today, reports emerged that an NRL club opened talks with NSW Blues representative forward Spencer Leniu to sign him on a long-term contract. He is currently contracted with the Sydney Roosters until the end of 2025 and is on around $525,000 per season.
