How these five-eighth ratings work
Each player is matched only against other five-eighths in NRL Player Rater. Fan votes then update the live ladder.
Our rankings use an Elo rating system. Every player starts on the same rating, then gains or loses points after each vote. Beating a highly rated opponent earns more points, while losing to a lower-rated opponent can cause a bigger drop.
This means players can climb quickly with strong form, but staying near the top requires consistently beating other highly rated players.
