6. Does Tariq Sims deserve his place?

Tariq Sims finds himself back in the Origin side, and more than likely according to reports on Sunday, starting for the Blues in a call which has ruffled plenty of feathers for supporters.

Sims' form at the St George Illawarra Dragons has been up and down, to put it nicely.

While he has plenty of forward utility value given his ability to play all of his preferred second row, lock and front row, that isn't an automatic reason to include the hard-hitting Origin veteran.

Fittler has spoken about the need to pick players who will simply get the job done, as Sims has done previously at Origin level, but then, he has also dropped Angus Crichton and Josh Addo-Carr, two players who have never failed him at this level.

It makes the decision to keep Sims a little on the surprising side of things, and he will undoubtedly be one of the players with plenty of attention placed on his performance next Wednesday.
