The Sydney Roosters have handed out a flogging to the Dolphins to book their spot in the NRL grand final.
The tri-colours were forced to work hard during the first half although always appeared to have the better running of the game, before running away with the contest during the second half.
Here is how every player ranked in the game.
1. Mark Nawaqanitawase (Sydney Roosters)
He has gone and done it again. More than 300 metres, some freakish moments and barely a foot wrong. The winger is the most important player on the park for the second week in a row.
2. Victor Radley (Sydney Roosters)
An awesome performance from the Roosters middle forward. Big hits in defence, excellent runs, great link plays. Did give away two penalties but not costly.
3. Sam Walker (Sydney Roosters)
Returned from a syndesmosis injury in just 27 days and didn't miss a beat. Fantastic game before heading off for an early shower.
4. Reece Robson (Sydney Roosters)
Tackled everything that moved, but more importantly came up with a stack of good work in attack both with his service, runs and everything in between.
5. Robert Toia (Sydney Roosters)
Some enormous plays in attack on the right-hand side for the Roosters. Didn't miss his mark in defence either.
6. Lindsay Collins (Sydney Roosters)
One of the NRL's best big-game players. Turned up again when it mattered most through the middle third.
7. Naufahu Whyte (Sydney Roosters)
Pretty awful first two weeks of the finals for Whyte, but was back to his best. Dominated the middle third.
8. Kulikefu Finefeuiaki (The Dolphins)
Worked hard did the Dolphins boom second-rower. Plenty of hard runs, and one of the more phsyical Dolphins.
9. Daly Cherry-Evans (Sydney Roosters)
Another strong performance from the veteran half, who extends his career by another game in the NRL. Didn't miss a step all night.
10. Daniel Tupou (Sydney Roosters)
A freak in the air, didn't miss his assignemnt at either end of the park. What else would you expect from Tupou though?
11. Tom Gilbert (The Dolphins)
All aggression in the first stint from Gilbert. Should have had more minutes during the second half.
12. Salesi Foketi (Sydney Roosters)
The first of the two Roosters second-rowers, but you could have ranked them in either direction. Some real aggression in defence.
13. Siua Wong (Sydney Roosters)
Like Foketi, brilliant in defence, did his job in attack. Don't mistake how important the duo will be next week.
14. Jamayne Isaako (The Dolphins)
Scored a controversial try on the right, and didn't miss his assignment at either end of the park. Goal kicking a question mark though.
15. James Tedesco (Sydney Roosters)
Wasn't one of the Roosters best, but didn't need to be. Did his job, didn't overplay his hand, and the Roosters were better for it.
16. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow (The Dolphins)
Finished with a wet sail, and could have been higher if he played the entire game the same way. Far too quiet when it mattered.
17. Morgan Knowles (The Dolphins)
Solid enough in the middle third, but not enough impact to change the flow of the game. Have to question why he didn't have more minutes in the second stanza.
18. Nat Butcher (Sydney Roosters)
Did influence the game off the bench, keeping the Roosters on the front foot with some strong carries.
19. Selwyn Cobbo (The Dolphins)
Threatened the Roosters line at times, but like the rest of his teammates, lacked overall impact on the game.
20. Jack Bostock (The Dolphins)
Worked hard, was a threat in the air and came up with some good plays, but didn't break a single tackle.
21. Kodi Nikorima (The Dolphins)
Too quiet when it mattered. Was involved with the Dolphins attack came to life though.
22. Francis Molo (The Dolphins)
Easily the Dolphins most impactful forward through the middle chunk of the game.
23. Jeremy Marshall-King (The Dolphins)
Defended well, but a quiet night for Marshall-King. Not a whole lot of impact with the ball in hand out of the ruck.
24. Billy Smith (Sydney Roosters)
Didn't do a whole lot wrong, just well behind his teammates when it came to impact over the game and result.
25. Max Plath (The Dolphins)
Had some nice moments, but not nearly enough of them. Did tackle strongly as always.
26. Herbie Farnworth (The Dolphins)
Super quiet for most of the game. Came alive late, but it was too little, too late.
27. Ray Stone (The Dolphins)
Solid off the bench as always in what will be his final game of rugby league, but certainly didn't impact the momentum of the contest.
28. Angus Crichton (Sydney Roosters)
Will now have one more game before heading to rugby union. Not a bad effort either for a guy who has spent much of the second half of the year injured.
29. Isaiya Katoa (The Dolphins)
Poor game from Katoa. Couldn't control the Dolphins attack, and the kicking was predominantly well off the money.
30. Connelly Lemuelu (The Dolphins)
Bit of a passenger. Had some runs of the footy, tackled, but thoroughly outplayed by his opposition second-rowers.
31. Kurt Dongohoe (The Dolphins)
Defensive misreads, errors and little in the way of positive impact. Donoghoe's game was not his finest hour.
32. Tom Flegler (The Dolphins)
Absolutely zero impact. Went missing in the first stint. Finished with just five runs of the footy in 39 minutes.
33. Hugo Savala (Sydney Roosters)
Only given ten minutes at the end. Not much he could do with the game already done. Did make an error too.
34. Connor Watson (Sydney Roosters)
Came on to the field, got concussed, and that was all the game wrote for the Dragons-bound utility.
“Poor game from Katoa. Couldn’t control the Dolphins attack, and the kicking was predominantly well off the money.” Did you guys forget to mention he picked up an injury in the first 5-10 minutes?
