Italy have named a strong train-on squad for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup which features a host of NRL stars.
James Tedesco and Paul Vaughan have both been named and will represent Italy if they are not chosen for the Australian squad.
While NRL players Aidan Guerra, Nathan Brown, Daniel Alvaro and Josh Aloiai have also been selected.
Former NRL stars Mark Minichiello and Terry Campese have been named alongside a number of players from the English Super League, as well as the QLD and NSW Cup sides.
Also named in the squad is Jack Johns, the son of Matthew Johns, who plays for Newcastle Knights Under 20s team.
The squad will be reduced to 24 players before 13 October.
