Maroons prop Matt Scott will not play in State of Origin I after he was handed a one-match ban for a shoulder charge to Young Tonumapea, as reported by Nrl.com.

The North Queensland co-captain was charged with a grade-one shoulder charge during Friday night's clash with the Storm by the match review committee and unless he challenges won't be featuring for the Maroons in game one at the MCG.

Meanwhile, Storm forward Felise Kaufusi is free to play in Origin I after he escaped a charge for a so-called cannonball tackle.

Melbourne prop Sam Kasiano is will also receive a  one-match ban for dangerous contact on Cowboys halfback Johnathan Thurston.
