Wests Tigers winger Jeral Skelton has confirmed he will be departing Concord this season after posting a thanking tribute to the club on his social media.

Skelton is off-contract at the end of 2026 and would be an ideal pickup for most NRL clubs looking to add some strong outside back depth.

Zero Tackle understands Skelton has a few options from NRL clubs for next season, with a contract decision to be made in a couple of weeks.

The 27-year-old has all the quality attributes of a modern-day winger, with strength, athleticism, agility and the capability to cross the white line in traffic.

One of Skelton's strongest traits is his work out of yardage, and in his 13 appearances this year he averaged 146 running metres per game.

The powerful winger scored eight tries in his 2026 campaign, with seven line breaks and over 40 tackle breaks to come with it.

He owns an impressive try-scoring rate of 22 tries in 36 appearances in the NRL, which stretches back to his debut year of 2023, playing two seasons at the Bulldogs before a couple of seasons across town at Concord.

It's likely another NRL club will pick Skelton up before the start of the 2027 season.

Skelton started the 2926 season struggling to make it into the Tigers' starting lineup, but finished strongly by claiming his wing spot for the remaining nine weeks of the competition.

The powerful winger made his Test debut for Samoa during the country's two-match series against England at the end of the 2024 season.

Skelton played in both those matches and will come into Samoa selection conversations for the upcoming World Cup.
