The Wests Tigers have announced the signing of Bulldogs utility Kurt Mann on a one-year deal to make the cross-town switch to Concord.

Mann offers plenty of strong leadership qualities to drive the club in the right direction for a promising future.

With 235 games of NRL experience, Mann is extremely versatile across the forwards and hooker positions, making him a valuable asset.

Mann has perfectly acclimatised to the swift increase of pace and flow in the modern game, which rewards agile, nimble bodies in the forward pack.

It saw former QLD Maroons coach Billy Slater give Mann the call-up to the State of Origin series last year, where he played all three games in a winning side.

The 33-year-old made his NRL debut in stunning fashion for the Melbourne Storm and famously caught a cross-field kick from Cooper Cronk to seal victory in the dying moments in 2014 against Manly.

Mann also had stints at the St George Illawarra Dragons, Newcastle Knights and three seasons at the Bulldogs under Cameron Ciraldo.

The incoming Tiger is thrilled to be joining the club and has high hopes for the 2027 season.

“I'm really looking forward to joining the Wests Tigers, connecting with the playing group and coaches,'' Mann said in a Tigers statement.

“I can't wait to get stuck into some hard work and giving 2027 a red-hot shake.”

Mann joins Jayden Brailey as key experienced players who will move to the Tigers next season to strengthen their leadership.

Benji Marshall was full of praise for the way Mann gets about business on the field and offers plenty of versatility for his side.

“Kurt brings Origin experience and has played plenty of games in the NRL. He adds a lot of depth to our roster,'' Marshall said.

“He brings leadership. He is uncompromising in the way he plays and offers great utility value as he can play almost anywhere.

“Ultimately, Kurt is a fierce competitor on the field.”

The Tigers will begin preseason training in November to prepare for the 2027 season.
