The Wests Tigers are targeting Shaun Johnson and Gareth Widdop as potential replacements for the departing Mitchell Moses.

The Sydney Morning Herald is reporting that the Wests Tigers have identified Widdop and Johnson as their highest rated targets.

Both playmakers are off contract at the end of the season and would be more than able replacements for Moses. Moses looks to have signed with the Eels for 2018 and is rumoured to be seeking an immediate release to Parramatta as soon as possible.

Johnson and new Wests Tigers coach Ivan Cleary already have a strong relationship. Cleary was the coach of the Warriors when Johnson first made his debut for the club.

Any contract offer for Widdop or Johnson will be dependent on whether the Wests Tigers re-sign James Tedesco and Aaron Woods, both of whom have been flagged as high priorities by the club.

Although not officially announced yet, the club looks to have already re-signed halfback Luke Brooks last week to a two-year deal.
