ESPN's Chicago Bulls-Michael Jordan documentary The Last Dance has been the highlight television event during this pandemic, with some calling the 10-part series the best sporting documentary of all time.

It got us thinking - if there were behind the scenes footage of that extent in rugby league, what would we want documented? What rugby league tales, legends, dynasties, controversies, would we want the lid lifted upon?

The tale of Melbourne Storm's salary cap scandal and the stripped premierships

We know the story. The millions of dollars over the salary cap, the premierships stripped. The disgrace it brought on the club, and the blackmark it left on the careers of some of the most elite rugby league players in history.

Footage behind the scenes, interviews with players detailing what they were given and how they were given these under the table extras, even detailing the 2010 'pointless' season, where the Storm weren't awarded any premiership points, and how that affected the playing group.

  1. If the real truth behind the “stripped” came out then this would get my vote.

I am strongly of the belief that the storm were dudded over this cheating. I accept that they were cheating its just the lack of proper investigation and the punishment process that I struggle with.
