It’s easy to forget there even was a footy season given all of the off-field craziness over the past month-or-so.

2018 was a season full of highlights on and off the field. We take a look at 10 of the very best moments.

These are meant to be fun and are a personal view. There will be plenty of highlights that have missed the cut but without going back and re-watching every game, the below stick out for me.

Please let us know what moments were in your top 10.

10. Cooper Cronk Grand Final heroics

Will he or won’t he? The Cooper Cronk injury was a huge subplot in Grand Final week. It dominated headlines and had the very real chance to completely detail the Roosters title tilt.

Simply put, Cronk played the game with one arm. By all rights he should never have played that game. If it were not a Grand Final, he’s almost no chance to play.

The effort put in by the Roosters number seven justified the decision to bring him in on big dollars and big sacrifice.

Cronk was brilliant despite the Storm attempting to target him. He was well protected by his tri-colour team mates but he didn’t try and hide.

He directed traffic, kicked well and had a blinder. Brilliant!

  1. Had Cooper Cronk stayed in Melbourne, I would say Melbourne win this years premiership and go back to back. However the highlights of this year was witnessing the courage and organisational skills of Cronk winning a grand final at the Roosters and for the Roosters. Which proves beyond any doubt that fullback is a vitally important position but halfback will always be the most important position on a footy field. Great halfbacks like Cronk are three plays in front of every body else. πŸ’ͺπŸ‘΄πŸ‘πŸ“πŸ“

The other highlight was the emergence of the woman’s footy comp and Souffths missing out on a grand final at the expense of this years PremiersπŸ€£πŸ˜πŸ˜†πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜πŸ˜‚πŸ”πŸ”

  2. Without cronk and slater storm will no longer dominate as they have in the past. As long as the refs can keep the whistle out of Cam Smiths mouth they will be lucky to to make top 6
