It's easy to forget there even was a footy season given all of the off-field craziness over the past month-or-so.

10. Cooper Cronk Grand Final heroics

Will he or won't he? The Cooper Cronk injury was a huge subplot in Grand Final week. It dominated headlines and had the very real chance to completely detail the Roosters title tilt.

Simply put, Cronk played the game with one arm. By all rights he should never have played that game. If it were not a Grand Final, he's almost no chance to play.

The effort put in by the Roosters number seven justified the decision to bring him in on big dollars and big sacrifice.

Cronk was brilliant despite the Storm attempting to target him. He was well protected by his tri-colour team mates but he didn't try and hide.

He directed traffic, kicked well and had a blinder. Brilliant!
