Grand Final week is finally upon us, and what a Grand Final we have.

The two best sides across the competition, both of whom seem to be peaking at the right time.

Neither side is missing a megastar through injury or suspension either.

This game has all the ingredients to be one of the all time deciders!!!

Unfortunately that doesn't always mean a brilliant, or competitive game. We've seen Grand Final blowouts in the past, while other games have been ... ok.

Today though we are going to focus on those Grand Finals that not only lived up to but even surpassed all expectations.

Below are the top five Grand Finals since 2010 (included):

I was blessed to have been invited to this Grand Final.

At the time I was living on the NSW north coast so it would be a massive treck back to the big smoke. It is one I am forever greatful that I made.

This was the best finish to a Grand Final ever!

Ok there may be some serious recency bias here but it's the best I've seen in my life-time, and being there live only made it ten times more enjoyable.

Unfortunately many of the comments re this game revert back to the dropped kick off. Fair yet unfair at the same time.

The game itself was an absolute cracker! Two QLD rivals belting each other for 80 minutes.

We had everything! Length of the field tries, last ditch defensive efforts, and the mother of come from behind tries.

Some will point to the Darren Albert finish as the best ever. I'll hear you out, but Kyle Feldt's try was better. There, I said it.

I've never heard 82,000 people become so quiet so quickly as when Johnathan Thurston was lining up that kick.

For your life it looked like it was sailing through, only to smash off the upright and send us to Golden Point extra time.

From there, Johnathan Thurston took his chance to deliver a first ever title to the Cowboys.

No one will ever forget the celebrations, especially Paul Green banging excitedly on the glass as half the stadium were in raptures.
