Round 12 will signal the final game of the "pre-Origin" stage of 2023 NRL season.
With the teams set to be selected on Sunday and Monday, this weekend's round of footy will provide Origin hopefuls with their last chance to audition.
Don't think for a second that Billy Slater and Brad Fittler don't have their top 17s ready to go, but there's always the chance that questions still remain.
Four questions to be somewhat exact. The below four questions.
4. Does Freddy admit error over Josh Addo-Carr?
It takes a proud person to admit they made an error.
I think even Brad Fittler would admit now that he made a huge one in not naming Josh Addo-Carr on the wing for the Blues last season.
Sighting club form, which I still to this day maintain wasn't that bad, he overlooked the "fastest man on the planet" opting instead to go with Daniel Tupou and Brian To'o.
To'o will very likely hold onto his spot, and rightly so, but Tupou's injury and early season form should see the Foxx recalled.
The only question here is whether or not Addo-Carr gets through this weekend's fixture.
If so, and he comes out unscathed then he simply must be picked. Origin camp is a long one and I'm sure he will be more than ready to go come kickoff for the series opener.
Addo-Carr started the season in incredible form, continuing his arguable man of the tournament efforts at the World Cup.
Fittler doesn't need to comment on last series. He does however need to name Addo-Carr this Monday.
