Even the greatest players have down seasons. Whether that be to a point they lose their spot, or just don't quite live up to their previous performances.

Below we look at 10 players who probably didn't have the 2020 they expected, whom I fully expect to bounce back in a big way.

We've left rookies off who are obviously expected to improve as they continue in their development.

8. Wade Graham

I feel a little guilty in placing the Sharks captain here because his 2020 was hardly the stuff nightmares are made of. That said, he lost his Origin spot and was well below his brilliant best.

In 2020 he averaged below 100 metres per game and only had four try assists while he missed a whopping 63 tackles from 19 games. In 2018 he played 18 games and only missed 39. I think Wade struggled defending next to Chad Townsend, who has become more of a target in defence with every year.

Graham, like multiple Sharks, looks to be reaping the rewards of a new off-season training system. He looks fit, happy and I have no doubt he'll see plenty of ball early on with Shaun Johnson out.
