Rugby league hasn't seen the last of Sonny Bill Williams, with the All Blacks star set to return to the Sydney Roosters.

The 32-year-old cross code star is said to have no plans of retiring once his current contract with the New Zealand Rugby Union ends after the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

The Daily Telegraph reports Williams return to the Sydney Roosters is not dependent on him playing though, with Roosters boss Nick Politis keen to have Williams in a mentoring/coaching role at the club.

Williams' agent and promoter Khoder Nasser discussed the prospect of the dual international returning to the 13-man game during a meeting with Politis last week.

Williams was part of the club’s 2013 premiership-winning side and also played a major role in fixing the bad culture that had plagued the club.

There are suggestions that he might look to have a brief stint in the English Super League post rugby union, with clubs willing to pay top dollar for someone of his value on and off the field.
