Across 26 gruelling rounds, some of the game's brightest talents have taken to the field of play. For some, it's a chance to push for a first-grade debut and become a permanent feature in years to come.
After one of the most competitive seasons in NSW Cup history, we at The League Scene have decided to list seven of the most exciting prospects yet to make their NRL debut that could make their way into the top flight next season.
3. Felix Fa'atili - Cronulla Sharks
Despite making the finals yet again last season, something felt off about the Cronulla Sharks in 2026. Whilst their forward pack was good enough, it didn't have the explosive X-factor to come off the bench and turn the game and it became apparently obvious towards the end of the season.
This is where one Felix Fa'atili comes into the equation. A wrecking ball of a forward that has had a heck of a 2026 campaign for the Newtown Jets in the NSW Cup. Most used as an impact forward, Fa'atili dominated and turned momentum in most encounters for the Sharks affiliate.
His ability to come into the contest, carry the football with intent and bust away from tacklers is something I have rarely seen in open age football. He had over 100 tackle breaks this season (34 more than the next forward). He can also find a try, picking out fatiguing defenders close to the line.
The 22-year-old also ran for over 2200 metres. If he doesn't debut this season, something has gone horribly wrong.
Coach Craig Fitzgibbon has shown similar traits to Trent Robinson's early coaching career, backing the tried-and-tested players instead of unproven talent. Robinson had to evolve and has reaped the rewards in Bondi, maybe it's time for Fitzgibbon to do the same.

Your comment about the reticence of Craig Fitzgibbon to give youngsters a chance is spot on the money. Don’t expect Felix Faiatilli to fare any better.
The younger brother of Storm sensation Cooper Clarke..
uh, pretty sure cooper is younger then him but i digress?
