The NRL's match review committee has released its charges from Week 2 of the finals following two highly anticipated encounters.

Sydney Roosters hosted the Cronulla Sharks in sudden-death fashion in Moore Park, but made light work of the men from the Shire.

Sharks star Nicho Hynes was left dizzy and eventually failed his HIA after he collected the hip of Salesi Foketi in the early stages of the match.

The Sharks were on the back foot following the incident to Hynes in the third minute, and the tri-colours struck to record a dominating 46-10 defeat, progressing to the preliminary stages against the Dolphins on Friday night in the process.

Daly Cherry-Evans headlined a list of players charged from Saturday's encounter.

Meanwhile, the Newcastle Knights will continue their fight in the competition after an impressive 12-10 victory in enemy territory, marking the largest attendance in NRL history across the Tasman in some style.

Warriors centre Ali Leiataua was placed on report for collecting Kalyn Ponga high in the ninth minute of the match.

Leiataua was booked with a grade 1 careless high tackle for his actions, resulting in a $1000 fine.

The Warriors centre can opt to fight his charge in front of the judiciary panel, but risks an elevated fine of $1500 if he loses his challenge.

Across the paddock, Knights veteran Dane Gagai was placed on report in the 70th minute for an unpenalised incident and now hasn't been charged.

It is understood to be a tackle he made on Leka Halasima in the set earlier after the Warriors threw backline shape at the Knights' edge.

Two plays later, the Warriors went back to the same side, and Halasima produced one of the most athletic tries from a forward in recent history.

His efforts brought the game to a two-point score in the final ten minutes, with the Warriors unable to land a final blow before full-time.

The Roosters will travel to Brisbane, while the Knights will face the Panthers at Accor Stadium to fight for a place in the 2026 Grand Final.
