The North Queensland Cowboys have announced the re-signing of 2015 Premiership winger Kyle Feldt to the club for a further three seasons.

Townsville junior Feldt, 25, has signed a contract extension that will see him remain at the Cowboys until the end of the 2020 National Rugby League season.

โ€œIโ€™m thrilled to be able to remain at the club that handed me my NRL debut,โ€ said Feldt, who has played 56 games for the club over five seasons.

โ€œIโ€™ve had so many great memories here already and played alongside some amazing players, so to be able to continue that journey in the city I grew up is a real blessing.โ€

โ€œI look forward to performing well for the rest of the 2017 season and helping the club to further success.โ€

Cowboys General Manager โ€“ Football Peter Parr said Feldt has been a fine example of the clubโ€™s development pathways at work.

โ€œKyle has come up through the grades, through our Under-20s system โ€“ where he played in a grand final โ€“ on to Queensland Cup with the Northern Pride and the Townsville Blackhawks, and now heโ€™s an integral part of our NRL team,โ€ Parr said.

โ€œThe club places tremendous stock in nurturing and retaining talent, and with Kyle, you couldnโ€™t get a better example of this.โ€
