Regan Grace, a premiership-winning winger for Super League team St Helens, has declared that he wants to play for the Titans.

The member of the Wales World Nines squad commented yesterday that the drawcard is incoming coach Justin Holbrook when he was asked where he'd want to play in the NRL.

"The Gold Coast, so I can go see my old coach Justin Holbrook," Grace told News Corp.

"I have a best mate who lives up on the Gold Coast as well, so it would be good to catch up with him.

"I’d love to be able to get to that standard and test myself out here."

Titans fans would no doubt share the sentiment is the 22-year-old decided to make the move when his St Helens contract expires in 2021.

Grace has scored 22 tries in 33 games for the English side and clocked a speed on 36.7km/h which would have put him second in the NRL behind Josh Addo-Carr's 38.5km/h run.

Holbrook's success with St Helens and excellent atmosphere at the club makes the Gold Coast an alluring option for British players wanting to try the NRL.

The Titans have already been linked to St Helens prop Luke Thompson who was player of the match in the Super League grand final along with his premiership teammate Alex Walmsley.

  1. Luke Thompson would be a really good signing for the titans. I personally would move Ryan James into his best position at second row.
Have Thompson and Wallace up front, James and Peachey in second row and Arrow at Lock (if he stays).
The backs are made up of Brimson at the back, Watkins and Kelly in the centres and Copley, Don and Sami competing for the 2 wing spots.
They have good forwards (if they get Thompson and keep Arrow) and a good backline but the halves and hooker is what let’s them down. Ash Taylor is very very cold but has shown he’s a good player too, Roberts is handy but not excellent, Tannah Boyd is the young rookie. Peats and Rein compete for hooker but they are both not that great.

I think they should take Andrew McCullogh away from the broncos. He’s not amazing but he’s still pretty good. He’s a great leader, decent on attack and good on defence.

  2. Titans are really in a bad spot and it is probably going to have get worse before it gets better. You could probably count on your hands the amount of players at Titans that actually deserve a first grade contract and some of there worst performers are there highest paid. If I was the Titans I would have a complete clean out try and create as much cap as you can and sign some cheap safe options. Players like Lachlan Timm, Lloyd Perrett, Billy Brittain, Kurt Capewell, Hymel Hunt, Greg Leleisiuao aswell as bringing up players like Blake Leary, Jamal Fogarty, Kurtis Rowe, Troy Leo, Treymain Spry. Yes no house hold names but are all coming of very strong seasons in lower grades and all deserve their shot.
