2. Queensland 2020 shocks (2020)
We're going to place these in a combined entry otherwise they may have taken up the entire list outside of the number one spot.
Cast your minds back to 2020 - the world was a different place then to what it is now due to a certain virus that I flatly refuse to name.
It had much further ranging and far more serious impacts across the globe than shifting the Origin series to the end of the season, but that's exactly what happened.
The mid-season representative contest was moved to post grand final and took place over the space of three Wednesdays in a row during November.
The end of year series had a huge impact on player availability as injuries decimated both squads - especially Queensland.
This was the series that NSW simply had to show up to in order to win. I forget the exact betting odds but it suggested an embarrassing whitewash of epic proportions.
It is with the absolute greatest of respect to these players, but truthfully it is hard to see them getting named if the series had been held in its usual timeslot.
Dunamis Lui, Brenko Lee and Edrick Lee can all call themselves Origin series winners as Wayne Bennett's men went on to shock the world and lift the trophy.
Kurt Capewell made his Origin debut, at centre, after overcoming an injury that looked as though it would rule him out. He had an absolute blinder.
Phillip Sami was rushed into the side at the last moment as Brenko Lee was injured in the warm up. Sami himself has been replaced by Capewell in chaotic scenes.
Lui, Lee and Lee are the official entries here but Corey Allan also ran out in the decider as Queensland's fifth choice fullback.
