Sydney Roosters winger Brett Morris will miss "a few weeks" after suffering a knee injury during his side's win over Manly on Saturday night.

The 32-year old went down in the first half and did not return. Scans have since revealed that Morris sustained a partial ligament injury to sideline him for the foreseeable future.

Additionally, forward Lindsay Collins faces a fitness test ahead of round three after suffering a possible concussion on Saturday.

The 22-year old will need to pass an HIA test if he is to get up for Sydney's clash with Parramatta on Friday night.

The Roosters released the following statement on their club website regarding injuries.

"The Sydney Roosters squad have been assessed following our Round 2 match against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles at Lottoland," the statement read.

"Winger Brett Morris sustained a partial ligament injury late in the first half and was unable to return to the field.

"He will be unavailable for selection for a few weeks while he undergoes rehab.

"Prop forward Lindsay Collins was taken from the field early in the second half for a HIA assessment.

"He was unable to return to the field and will follow standard HIA protocol ahead of Round 3.

"The remaining squad members made it through the match without concern."

  2. Thatโ€™s it genious try talking it down. Cronk and friend are both already cleared, if you knew anything about anything youโ€™d know that.

  3. I fortold your wingers future, when your nuggets signed him.
I said he wouldn’t last a whole season without spending time sitting in the stands..
You said the team has so many players with the X factor. How can little old Parramatta beat that?
