The NRL have announced WIN Stadium as the location for the 2019 Trans-Tasman Double Header Test matches to be held in Wollongong on Friday 25th October.

Via a media release on Monday morning, NRL CEO Todd Greenberg expressed his delight at having international rugby league back in the Illawarra.

โ€œRugby league has a home in the Illawarra, so weโ€™re delighted to bring the pinnacle of rugby league back to Wollongong for the first time in five years,โ€ Greenberg told NRL.com.

โ€œWe recorded one of the best-ever attendances for WIN Stadium the last time Test Match Rugby League was played in Wollongong.

โ€œSo Iโ€™ve got no doubt the local support will be strong and compliment those travelling fans who canโ€™t wait to be at the Stadium come October 25th.โ€

Both the womenโ€™s and menโ€™s matches will be broadcast live nationally across the Nine Network, Fox Sports and NRL Live Pass, as well as Sky NZ in New Zealand.
