The Gold Coast Titans have confirmed they have signed Brisbane Broncos halfback Tanah Boyd until the end of 2021.

Boyd will join the club immediately and be included in the team's 30-man NRL squad.

A product of the Keebra Park State High School system, he represented Queensland at an Under-18 and Under-16 level.

18-year-old Boyd was happy to return to the Gold Coast and join the Titans.

โ€œIt is a great opportunity for me, and I am really looking forward to getting started,โ€ Boyd told the club's website.

โ€œTo be able to come back to the Gold Coast with the Titans, after playing all of my junior footy here on the Gold Coast, is a great feeling.โ€

Mal Meninga, the Head of Performance and Culture for the Titans, claims Boyd's signing is exciting for the club.

โ€œIt is great to have one of our local juniors come home,โ€ Meninga said. โ€œOne of the philosophies of this club is to build a strong future around local kids โ€“ players who learnt their footy on the Gold Coast, but want to represent their families, friends and the Gold Coast community as Titans.

โ€œTanah has had a celebrated junior career, and he has obviously been on the radar of a lot of people for a while.

โ€œHe has been playing Intrust Super Cup with my old team Souths Logan Magpies, and he has been getting some great experience there playing at a higher level against much older guys.

โ€œTo play at that level at such a young age shows what a great deal of promise he has, and I really look forward to him developing his skills at the Titans.โ€

    Release Peachey and get Martin gives you a kicker which the club desperately needs. Offer him above and beyond 4 years 1.6 mill. Then sign Moga, Luke, Bateman and Perret on some cheap deals due to situation, age, game time and opportunity.
