The injury-hit Gold Coast Titans are once again pursuing out of favour Sydney Roosters centre Dale Copley to cover their ever-growing casualty ward.

The loss of Jarryd Hayne and Anthony Don on the weekend has the Gold Coast club desperate for outside back depth.

According to the Courier Mail, the Titans have been eyeing off Copley for a number of months but couldn't justify the price tag the Roosters were putting on his release. They may now agree to pay $200,000 asking price.

With Jarryd Hayne, Anthony Don, Dan Sarginson, William Zillman, Daniel Vidot and John Olive all nursing injuries, the club will struggle to field a backline against the Parramatta Eels on Friday.

It's not just the backline though which is suffering an injury crisis. The club's top four hooking options are also sidelined. Tyrone Roberts has been filling in but the club will be desperate to get first-choice hooker Nathan Peats back on the field as soon as possible.
