The Gold Coast Titans have announced that Steve Mitchell will be the club’s next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) starting in 2019.

Mitchell will join the Titans in February next year after he finishes up as CEO of Touch Football Australia.

The 49-year-old has worked for several rugby and media related organisations including Melbourne Rebels, Seven Network and Network Ten.

Mitchell told the club of his excitement to be joining them.

"I am extremely humbled to be appointed to the role. Club owners the Frizelle and Kelly families; former CEO Graham Annesley and the board have worked tremendously hard to build the foundations of what promises to be a very exciting future," Mitchell said.

"I am looking forward to working with the owners and the board, Mal Meninga, coach Garth Brennan, players and staff to help create an enduring sporting legacy for the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales communities."

The selection of Mitchell as CEO is another signing in a productive period for the Titans. In recent weeks they have added Mal Meninga as Head of Performance and Culture, as well as signing Shannon Boyd, Tyrone Peachey and Brian Kelly ahead of the new season.
