Three players have been charged during last night’s Cowboys v Broncos Queensland Derby in Townsville.

Broncos youngster Tevita Pangai junior copped a minor dangerous contact charge but has escaped suspension with an early guilty plea.

Cowboys fullback Te Maire Martin also received a grade-one dangerous contact charge but will get off with an early plea.

But the news is not so good for Cowboys lock Jason Taumalolo, who faces a one-match ban for a shoulder charge for contact with Broncos rookie Jamayne Isaako in the 47th minute.

Taumalolo can accept his one-game suspension with an early guilty plea, or risks facing two weeks on the sidelines if he unsuccessfully challenges the charge.
