Rugby League is undoubtedly the greatest game of all. To say that I miss it is a huge understatement.

I miss the tries, the big hits, the crowds, the jerseys, even the referee errors. I miss literally everything about it.

That said, not even League has it exactly right.

Unfortunately, league is rather prone to a scandal. Some hilarious, some ridiculous and some unfortunately serious and life changing.

We take a look at 10 of the biggest Rugby League controversies and scandals of the century.

For obvious reasons, we'll avoid specifics where they're not 100 per cent well known.

Here is our top 10...

9. Todd Carney Bubbler

I'll never forget this one. I put my phone down to read my kids a story, only to return to 100+ notifications on Twitter. That's never good, as quite frankly I'm not that popular. It usually means something negative has happened at the Sharks!

Following the Sharks incredible win against Brisbane in 2014, Todd Carney was pictured in an unfortunate position that went super viral super quickly.

Truthfully this is hardly high on the scandal metre but was the final straw in an NRL career largely derailed by behavioural issues off field and is still mentioned today. This went world-wide very quickly and will unfortunately follow Carney wherever he goes.
