Josh Dugan has been told to pack his bags in Cronulla, with the Sharks in the box-seat to sign Jesse Ramien, according to a report by Fox Sports.

Dugan, a former Kangaroos and NSW representative, has reportedly been advised to pursue other options.

Dugan still has two years remaining on his contract, but with Raimen's imminent arrival, the club will have fourth starting-calibre centres on their list - Josh Morris, Bronson Xerri, Dugan and Raimen.

The Sharks will have a large chunk of the salary devoted to the centre position, with Raimen's contract reportedly worth $2 million over four years.

Given the limited opportunities elsewhere in the lineup, Dugan is likely to be pushed out.

Josh Morris has been linked with a move away from Sutherland Shire, but Dugan is expected to be the first casualty.

The 29-year-old arrived at Cronulla at the end of 2017 after moving from St George Illawarra following a strong season.

The Sharks are still waiting on the NRL to clear Raimen's contract, but despite Cronulla's salary cap restrictions, the club are expected to be under the cap for the next two seasons.

  1. The Sh00nkies can keep him, that mullet suits the shire right down to the ground. Of course if you cl0wns played him at fb his only position he be going a lot better. Moylan is a pathetic fb.

  2. I think the mullet is better suited to the ‘gong. As for pathetic fullbacks that ‘gong probably rests with Dufty or Norman from what was on show this season. And that was at the club that played Matt Prior at Center…….

  3. Easy decision, Dugan is average at best now, Morris is good but Ramien is definitely the future. Shop two for a future star

  4. Dugan back to the Dragons? He can play centre with Lomax or play fullback there. Aiken and Dufty look likely to leave. Dufty should go to West Tigers and Aiken to the Bulldogs
