Across 26 gruelling rounds, some of the game's brightest talents have taken to the field of play. For some, it's a chance to push for a first-grade debut and become a permanent feature in years to come.
After one of the most competitive seasons in NSW Cup history, we at The League Scene have decided to list seven of the most exciting prospects yet to make their NRL debut that could make their way into the top flight next season.
1. Alex Conti - Canterbury Bulldogs
One of the big watches of the pre-season will be the halves battle at the Bulldogs. 2026 saw their wheel of halves combinations land on an out-of-position ploy with mixed results. It is becoming clear to everyone that the time for spine manipulation needs to end and quickly.
Normally, this would be the spot for Mitchell Woods. However, with his hamstrings failing him again last season, Lebanon international Alex Conti took his opportunity with both chances and looks every bit the potential debutant the club desperately needs.
Debuting in Round 1 of this season's NSW Cup, the 20-year-old scored ten tries in 17 matches. More impressively, he had a hand in 16 other tries while setting up 18 linebreaks. He made over 300 tackles and missed under 60 for a total tackle rate of 85%.
What was most impressive was his ability to control and lead a side around the park. It's been what the Bulldogs have lacked consistently since the great merry-go-round of halves began in 2025.
Having a half will also allow Lachlan Galvin to take a back-seat approach and better impact the contest whilst also reverting the much-maligned playmaker into his natural position at six. Conti had a man-of-the-match performance in Lebanon's sole World Cup win over France.

Your comment about the reticence of Craig Fitzgibbon to give youngsters a chance is spot on the money. Don’t expect Felix Faiatilli to fare any better.
The younger brother of Storm sensation Cooper Clarke..
uh, pretty sure cooper is younger then him but i digress?
