2. 2020 Season

The Eels backed up their return to finals footy in 2019 by going a week deeper into the competition in 2020. Although they would ultimately be bounced in straight sets, Eels fans would have enjoyed their top four finish.

On the back of a career-best season by the brilliant Clint Gutherson, who beat some massive names to the Dally M fullback of the year honours, the Eels became an attacking force.

Dylan Brown emerged as a genuine star despite a somewhat below par season by his halves partner Mitchell Moses. Both of the Eels star wingers had an up and down season while Michael Jennings' playing future now in the balance.

The Eels forward pack become one of the elite. Ryan Matterson and RCG's additions to the already massive Paulo, Brown and Lane, defied the expectations that they would struggle under the new rules and laid a platform for their stars to run riot.

  1. I think we will struggle with the pace of the game.
The powers that be have gone to far over the top to try to speed the game up. It’s not Union or AFL.
We have big powerful forwards, awesome halves and a stellar backline but will struggle and finish 6th.
Top 4 will be Bunnies, Roosters, Storm and Raiders with the surprise packet being the Titans in 5th.
The Panthers and Cowboys will round out the top 8.
The Broncos and Dragons will battle it out for the spoon.
The GF will be Bunnies v Raiders with the Bunnies taking it out.
