  1. Arthur is still to simple to play Hayne at fullback.

Sydney do not need another specialist hooker on the bench, they need another big bopper forward.

    Souths will struggle this week

Manly will push Cronulla but go for the record with 5mins to go and let in 5 converted tries.

Brisbane and Penrith to be pushed all the way😜

  2. Eels side should be

    1: B French
    2: J Hayne
    3: M Jennings
    4: C Gutherson
    5: G Leleisiuao
    6: C Norman
    7: M Moses
    8: S Vave
    9: R Mahoney
    10: P Terepo
    11: M Nuikore
    12: T Moeroa
    13: N Brown

    14: J Salmon
    15: K Evans
    16: T Mannah
    17: R Stone

    • French is not ready to be a fullback. Too small to return kicks effectively, not enough of a ball player, poor positioning and unable to make that last effort try saving tackle. Hayne should be at the back at this stage. And you can’t have French and Leleisuao both in the back 3, they will be peppered with high balls all night due to both being short.

I would like too see Stone get a run though.

      • The way French is going at the moment, he is even lucky to be making the squad.
Personally, I would be happy to see Gennings on one wing Hayne on the other and Taka to centre, I think he is more effective at Centre than 2nd row and would allow Hayne to interchange with the king at FB like they have in recent weeks.
I also agree that you can French and GL both playing. While GL is great going forward, he has some serious defensive deficiencies which, with the way the team is going at the moment, would leave them even more exposed.
Glad to see Salmon getting a run in the top grade after some solid performances in ISP since coming back from injury. He and Dylan Brown have struck up a fairly good partnership in ISP and they look to be the future of the club. For a 17-18 yr old Flegg eligible player, Brown seems to have the word at his feet – hopefully he is in top 30 next year..

        • Agreed re Brown. I am not sure he will be in the 30 next year, given his age, but they can’t sit on him too long or another club will scoop him up.
