The Sydney Roosters have turned their attentions to Canterbury’s Brett Morris and Leeds Rhinos’ Ryan Hall, as they look to find a replacement for the Parramatta-bound Blake Ferguson, according to foxsports.com.au.

With Ferguson leaving the club at season’s end, the Roosters have a spot open on the win, and have circled the names of Morris and Hall as potential replacements.

Morris’ contract with the Bulldogs runs out at the end of the season, and the Roosters have come knocking, with the 31-year-old still a consistent performer.

Hall is one of England’s most damaging flyers, and has an incredible try scoring record in the Super League.

Since joining the Rhinos in 2007, Hall has 229 tries from 322 games, and has also crossed 36 times for England in just 38 Tests.

According to Tony Adams, a deal for Hall is close.

  1. It is ridiculous how much of an advantage the Roosters get through TPAs. NFL is a joke in regards to this system, some clubs never experience cap pressure while others struggle to roll out a side each week.

  2. The only way to truly make it a fair competition is to put a cap on third party contracts or scrap them all together.

    • I agree.. the roosters are the biggest joke in the nrl. Since 2013 gf rort. Roosters most penalised side all year get only give away 2 in the GF. 80 minutes. 2 penalties… the calls in that game were the most atrocious to date. Shane hayne the ultimate cheat. Manly boys deserved that win.
Roosters 14th in 2012.. 1st in 2013. The definition of buying a premiership

      • i agree what Kev said, but stop being a whinge lol@parra. that happened 5 years ago. Most teams do what the Roosters do anyway, its just that they’re more successful at it than others

      • Cry me a river Manly fans. You guys have been doing it for decades buying players left right and centre. Stop your sooking, the Roosters are always liked to every player that is on the open market, They have only signed Crighton and lossed Ferguson. All you people are silly and have been sucked in by the old media build up trick不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不不 As for the Souths rabbit case Penso. Somebody please let him know the Roosters have a stack of young kids that are coming through their development program in the likes of Manu, Latrell Mitchell, Radley, Butcher, Big bopper Collins, O’Sullivan, Momrivoski, Lam, Faamausili, most played in the premiership winning junior Chooks side in 2016, yes defeating Penrith and are now coming through in abundance. I doubt if the Chooks need to go on a big spend up for out of towners like Souths.
