James Roberts is a chance to play again this week for the Broncos after he left their round one game after just six minutes.

Roberts has been doing light running in training as he looks to overcome back spasms.

"The good news is he has had an MRI and is has not shown up any new injury," Broncos’ Head of Performance Paul Devlin told the club's website.

"The physios have done a good job with him and we will progress him this week with a hope to having him available this weekend, if not the next week."

The Broncos face the Cowboys in round two on Friday night for their first home game of the season.

  1. Oh don’t tell me we have another Josh Dugan????? Goes down for the count with a career ending injury only to play the very next week. Dugan has three career ending injuries every game he plays. Maybe the Oxford street snorter with heaps of speed is in a hurry to catch up to Dugans antics.
