The RLPA Players' Champions awards were named on Monday night, with James Tedesco claiming the top gong to cap off a huge season for the star fullback.

Tedesco beat out finalists Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Payne Haas, Cameron Munster and Cameron Smith in the annual players' poll.

He joined former Cowboys great Jonathan Thurston as the only player to claim the award multiple times, previously winning it at the Tigers in 2017.

The 26-year old has claimed the Wally Lewis Medal, Brad Fittler Medal, Dally M Medal, Jack Gibson Medal on top of helping guide the Roosters to back-to-back premierships in 2019 in a truly sensational campaign.

"James has no doubt had an incredible season, he has won nearly every award possible this year and is now The Players' Champion with his peers acknowledging his extraordinary efforts," RLPA CEO Ian Prendergast told NRL Media.

  1. It is truley amazing what the professional Roosters coaching regime has achieved with this quality player.
Teddy gives praise and Thanks to Trent Robinson for transforming him into the elite category of player.
Undoubtably the Worlds Number One Player.

  2. Lucky he went there Woohead. No one knew he was a top player before they bought him. Ha,ha…
Every award this year. I guess his contract must cost well over a million a season now.

  3. Everybody except you Eastofdivide is aware the Roosters had two one million dollar players. Cronk and Tedesco. Teddy never reached the peak of his powers until super coach Robo fine tuned him.

Teddy never played for Australia until he came to the Roosters. By the way Keary is on 750k. Do some research before you rattle off your usual garbage.
