Trent Hodkinson is set to become a Sea Eagle, according to reports.

According to Fox Sportsthe 29-year old will sign a deal with Manly in the coming days.

Hodkinson only just joined Cronulla this season after crossing from Newcastle, but has only played four games in 2018.

He would likely come straight into the Sea Eagles' first-choice 17, alongside Daly Cherry-Evans at halfback.

Hodkinson is a former skipper for the Knights and the Bulldogs, and is the only halfback to lead NSW to a State of Origin series win in the last 12 years, doing so in 2014.
