Mahe Fonua is in talks with the English Super League team Hull FC, according to Hull Live.

Fonua is out of contract with the NRL's West Tigers at the end of this season, the club he joined following his initial season will Hull FC in 2017.

Sadly, a foot injury against the Canberra Raiders earlier this month might see him sidelined for the rest of the season.

During his previous time at KCOM Stadium for Hull FC, he helped them to two Challenge Cup victories and made two appearances on the Super League Dream Team (at two different positions).

The deal is apparently "some way off", but talks have taken place. It's a smart move for a Hull FC side that has plenty of talent and is eager to get back to their championship form.
