1. Rabbitohs (2)

The Bunnies managed to hold on in one of the best games of the season. They now set the pace for the rest of the competition. Cody Walker has the Midas touch right now, everything he touches turns to gold. He's going to be the unluckiest player in the comp if he misses Origin selection. Wayne Bennett has this side firing despite some major cattle missing across the backline. Cam Murray... Cam Murray! Incredible.

2. Storm (3)

The Storm keep on keeping on ... just!!! They needed an almost last-minute winner to sink the desperate Tigers but ultimately they got it done. It's hard to believe that Ryan Papenhuyzen is their third choice full back. Cam Smith took charge in the final ten minutes and again has Qlders screaming for a return to rep footy. This was hardly vintage Melbourne Storm but they sure know how to win a close game of footy.

3. Roosters (1)

The Roosters dropped only their second game of the season after a 15-10 loss in Brisbane. Early on the Chooks looked set to complete their almost perfect run but they were overrun in the second 40. Limited to just 41% possession, the premiers made it difficult for themselves with a horror 69% completion rate. James Tedesco started the game on fire. Victor Radley had possibly his best game of the season. They did very well to lead 6-0 early on after being a player down.

4. Sea Eagles (5)

The hoodoo is very real. Manly just have it all over their southern neighbours in the Sharks. AFB and Tapau dominated the middle and set the pathway for their young halves. Elliott and Elgey are playing well beyond themselves in the absence of their big-name injuries. Young Cust looked good on debut. We'll hear more about him. Des has them humming with some handy players to return soon.

5. Raiders (4)

The Raiders were one handling error away from being only the second team in 2019 to bounce the Bunnies. The Raiders' back five were huge, with Croker's 89 metres the lowest tally of metres run. Josh Hodgson more than held his own in the battle of the games top two number nines. Josh Papalii is a machine in green. 164 metres against an elite pack, including a huge run that saw only the goal padding deny him a try.

6. Knights (9)

Absolute and total destruction. Kalyn Ponga bossed that first 40 in one if the most dominant performances this season. He had plenty of help though with Mitch Pearce close to career-best form. Tim Glasby reminded Kevin Walters of his credentials with a try and big effort. SKD is flying too. The entire back five made over 100 metres. Make no mistake though this was the Ponga show. Incredible.

7. Tigers (7)

So close yet so far for the Tiges. They looked on track for a huge upset in Melbourne if not for a 77th-minute try. Alex Twal continues to develop into a more than handy big man. Esan Marsters, at times, was almost unstoppable out wide but just lacked composure in other big moments. That Fonua miss will haunt him. Robbie Farah continues to deliver. Two more try assists for the veteran.

8. Warriors (11)

The Warriors continue their Jekyll and Hyde run in 2019 with a magnificent 30-10 destruction of the Panthers. Kodi Nikorima has slotted in seamlessly and has formed a strong partnership with Green. Young Herbert is a real find, he crossed for an early try here. Agnatius Paasi has gone to another level this season. How dangerous is that back three?

9. Sharks (6)

The Sharks just cannot beat Manly. This is the biggest hoodoo in rugby league. Josh Dugan will be relieved to shift back to the wing after another horror game with his hands at the back. Xerri needs to work on his hands also. The Sharks managed to win most of the stats but never for a second looked like they'd win this game. They need their stars back, especially Moylan at fullback.

10. Cowboys (12)

It wasn't the prettiest win of all time but the 17-10 win over the Eels was exactly what was needed. Matt Scott turned back the clock. What a try. Kahu overcame an awful error to put in an impressive shift overall. Another 230 metres for Jason Taumalolo. John Asiata is being mentioned for the Origin utility spot. He did himself no harm here.

11. Broncos (13)

The Broncos needed another win in a big way, and their 15-10 win over the Chooks was massive. The two tries to one win wasn't pretty but no Broncs fan would care. Segeyaro was the hero on his club debut with the match-winning try. Payne Haas may have played himself into an early Origin appearance after an unstoppable performance. 221 metres and a wrecking ball try. Milford actually looks better since Nikorima left. Strange.

12. Eels (8)

Parramatta just can't get it together away from home. A 17-10 loss in North Queensland has them sitting in 8th, with five wins and five losses. Sums it up perfectly. Blake Ferguson hasn't looked the same since returning from injury but still made a mountain of metres. Parra need to lift for games away from their new stadium.

13. Dragons (10)

The less said the better. The 45-12 thumping will not be a game the Red V will want to remember. 28-0 down at half time, it didn't get much better in the second half. Four straight losses now for the Dragons. They need to beat local rivals the Sharks next week to get their season back on track.

14. Bulldogs (15)

At 16-0 down this looked ugly. 22 straight points saw the Dogs capture two desperately needed competition points. Okunbor is simply unstoppable when he gets going. Cogger continues his rise in first grade. This side is much stronger with CHN running wide. Tolman is criminally underrated. Good win. Should kickstart their season.

15. Titans (14)

An early 16-0 lead had fans of the Titans floating on air. It all came crashing down though as they failed to trouble the scoreboard after. Ash Taylor lost control of this one. Copley scored two and could have had another one, at least. Brennan needs to work out what he's doing with Brimson and Peach.

16. Panthers (16)

Yuck. It's almost painful watching the Panthers in 2019. They were bad, comical at times. It took them 70 minutes to trouble the scoreboard, with two late tries flattering the home side. The 40-10 loss sums up the form of the Panthers this year ... It's not complimentary. They've lost Maloney due to suspension, but that may not be a negative in truth.
