Parramatta Eels re-sign Nathan Brown

The Parramatta Eels have announced forward Nathan Brown has re-signed for two years, extending his contract until the end of the 2020 season.

Brown joined Parramatta Eels in 2017, and has become one of the most consistent players on the team, earning him the prestigious Ken Thornett Medal voted by his teammates as the NRL Player of the Year.

Parramatta Eels Head Coach Brad Arthur said he was excited the club has retained one our best forwards.

“Nathan has developed into one of our most consistent performers,” Arthur said.

“He brings a great deal of power and aggression to the team and I’m looking forward to seeing him continue his great form this season.”

A fan favourite, Brown won the Blue and Gold Army Members’ Player of the Year award in 2017, and Tackle of the Year at the NRL’s Dally M Medal Awards.

Brown made his NRL debut in 2013 with the West Tigers followed by a stint at South Sydney. He made his representative debut for the City team in 2017 and was selected in the 2017 Italian Rugby League World Cup squad.

  1. Hard man – Excellent signing !
Has the NRL given Manly permission to sign Joel and that other numpty yet ?
I think they need to man up and face the consequences of 5 years of cheating and also prove they are compliant for 2018.. otherwise they are not signing anyone and maybe playing for no points. 😊

  2. Ignore this tool. He doesn’t speak for any other Parra supporters on here.
As a Parra supporter I will say good luck to Manly this season and I think you will do better than the ZT prediction of 11th place.
    FOOTY IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Yep, doesn’t speak for me either.

As far as I know the investigation is still ongoing, however I can’t see more than just a fine for the club based on what we know already. the $ value is no where near that of Parra, Storm, Dogs etc, so no need for loss of points. But, then again, we have been over this already a number of times haven’t we. Move on mate, it’s embarrassing.
