The Penrith Panthers have confirmed the departure of ten players from their 2019 squad at their end of season awards.

James Maloney (Catalans Dragons) and Reagan Campbell-Gillard (Parramatta Eels) will depart for new clubs in 2020, while it's been heavily reported today that Sione Katoa will be joining the Bulldogs next season.

Veteran forwards Tim Grant and Sam McKendry were farewelled, with both players having a significant contribution to the club over their career.

While the club also confirmed that Frank Winstein, Hame Sele, Tyrell Fuimaono, Nick Lui-Toso and Paea Pua will also not be with the club going forward.

With Dallin Watene-Zelezniak (Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs) and Waqa Blake (Parramatta Eels) already departing the club earlier in the year, it will be a significantly different Panthers side in 2020.

  1. Surprised by Lui-Toso leaving. As they’d re-signed him not too long ago & he looked a decent forward. Runs the ball up hard & would make a good buy for another club.
Ten players leaving, yet they still have two of the slowest backs in first grade there in Whare & Mansour?

  2. EastOfDivide, I agree with Mansour and Whare. Both need to go. To’o and Naden, on the wing, with Chritchon, and Lui in the centres.

  3. DaftyD.U.CK.wit🦆🦆🦆penriff are starting to copy souffs by releasing a whole stack of players but the only signings theze two Dud clubs can attract are Duds.

These two Dud clubs spent years thinking they could develop their own premiership winning players, only to realize they spent years letting all the best players on the market go by.

Now they woke up to the fact they must buy players but they can’t attract the good ones. Simply because of the Dud reputation they have built up for themselves.
Hence souffs and penrith imports are all Duds of the highest order.

For casual hire, any top quality NRL import to play for the Chocolate Soldiers Pussycats.
Pay above average, could lead to permant employment after initial 3mth trial period (30 June). Those players who have previously been terminated or spat out mid season, need not apply.

Call Bazza, located at the Transit Lounge Leagues Club doors for appointments. ASAP on (02 panffer)

  5. With the exemption of this year, William77, the Panthers have had more success than the Raiders. You really need to get over the past.

  6. Don’t mind that Panther18, or Naden in the centres. At least Naden has a real go.
Now even Mansour daffy? I’ve been on here calling for he & Whare to be gone long ago. Long before Phil re-signed them both. They’ve been too slow for ever & offer one side of the field no attack . When they’re on the same side of the field of course.

  7. Penrith will be luckt to attract Souths reject Duds, they have no hope of getting international representative players like Tetevano, Oats or JWH.

  8. Everyone knows Penrith’s a team where you do get opportunity. Especially for young players. Also given the huge number of players that they let go each year, which isn’t great!
Tetevano isn’t signed by the Chickens now. So a better than half his value offer ( as Woodhead always claims the chickens sign their players for half price ) could see him go to Penrith. JWH , is a dope & with every week spent at the judiciary , not so sure anymore should sign him?
It’s good to Stir WillyWoodHead though & mention players from the pen that other clubs may sign. He always pipes up about that. 👍
