1. Billy Slater (Fullback)
In his final performance, the greatest fullback in the history of the game, didn’t live up to the standards he’s become known for over the past 16 seasons: 5.5/10
  2. Suliasi Vunivalu (Wing)
Saved the worst performance of his career for Grand Final day: 4/10
  3. Will Chambers (Centre)
Chambers has become accustomed to the poor performance or two this season: 5/10
  4. Curtis Scott (Centre)
Made a few errors but was undoubtedly Melbourne’s best back tonight: 6/10
  5. Josh Addo-Carr (Wing)
Scored an intercept try in the second half but alas his game was riddled with errors: 6/10
  6. Cameron Munster (Five-Eighth)
Tried his guts out, which can’t be said for several other Storm players, but two brain snaps led to two sin bins: 5.5/10
  7. Brodie Croft (Halfback)
Was out of his depth, just ten games into his career playing in a Grand Final: 5.5/10
  8. Jesse Bromwich (Prop)
Another Storm player who was below his best tonight. Was outclassed by fellow Kiwi’s Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Taukeiaho: 5/10
  9. Cameron Smith (Hooker)
The captain did his best, but it wasn’t enough. Made the most tackles in the contest with 53: 7/10
  10. Tim Glasby (Prop)
Three runs for 18 metres. Not good enough for a starting front rower in a high stakes contest: 3/10
  11. Felise Kaufusi (Second Row)
Albeit a handful of errors in the first half, Kaufusi still did his best in an attempt to lift the Melbourne outfit. 10 hitups and 44 tackles: 6.5/10
  12. Joe Stimson (Second Row)
Was busy throughout the contest with 45 tackles and six hitups: 6/10
  13. Dale Finucane (Lock)
Melbourne’s best player and one of the few whom should hold their head high after this one. 11 hitups and 51 tackles: 8/10
  14. Kenneath Bromwich (Interchange)
Melbourne’s best off the bench: 6/10
  15. Christian Welch (Interchange)
Did well in limited minutes. In a breakout season, I’m surprised he was only given 20 minutes: 5/10
  16. Brandon Smith (Interchange)
Limited minutes in his first Grand Final appearance: 3/10
  17. Nelson Asofa-Solomona (Interchange)
Didn’t live up to his previous heroics off the bench tonight: 4/10

Total: 91
