AN NRL All-Stars match between the New Zealand Maori All Stars and the Indigenous All Stars will take place in Melbourne next February to kick-off the 2019 NRL season.

The matches will be played on February 15 at AAMI Park, with both a men's and women's All-Star match to feature.

Both sides should be filled with some of the biggest names in the game, although four NRL players have the choice between both sides, given they qualify for both teams.

Dane Gagai, Reimis Smith, Javid Bowen and Josh Hoffman will need to decide which side they'll be eligible for in the lead-up to the squads being selected in January.

Fans will have two-weeks to vote for the selections during January, while tickets for the match go on sale on Tuesday for the general public.
