The biggest issue for the Eels is clearly getting ther re-signing of Jack Williams over the line. The versatile forward was one of the best in the competition during 2026, and the Eels view him as a big part of the club moving forward.
The rest of the off-contract list probably won't be a rush job for the Eels as they work through a range of issues.
The biggest of those will be their salary cap and what it looks like if they manage to poach star centre Bradman Best off the Newcastle Knights, who they have been heavily linked with.
