The NRL judiciary has moved quickly on Saturday night's Round 24 action, with four players facing charges, with Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad facing the most serious sanction.
The Warriors star was hit with a Grade 3 Dangerous Contact charge for an incident on Reece Walsh in the 18th minute of the game.
The Brisbane Broncos superstar had to leave the game and couldn't return. Walsh sustained a high ankle sprain and was seen on the sideline during the game in a moon boot, ending his season.
With a two-week suspension, Nicoll-Klokstad would miss the matches against the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Newcastle Knights and would be back to play the Manly Sea Eagles in the last round of the season before the finals.
Nicoll-Klokstad is staring down a two-match ban with an early guilty plea. His suspension could rise to three matches if he fights the challenge and loses.
Cowboys forward Heilum Luki was also cited, picking up a Grade 1 High Tackle charge for a careless hit on Luca Moretti in the 21st minute.
Luki was put on report and sent to the sin bin for 10 minutes during the game.
He faces a $3,000 fine for an early plea or two matches on the sideline if he contests unsuccessfully, as it is his third or subsequent offence.
Tanner Stowers-Smith was cited for a Grade 1 careless high tackle on Xavier Willison in the 49th minute, while Jacob Laban was charged with a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact on Willison in the 75th minute.
Both are first offences, carrying a $1,000 fine with an early plea or $1,500 at the judiciary.
There was no MRC citing from the Cronulla Sharks or the Canberra Raiders for the action on Saturday.
