The NRL's match review committee has slapped two young forwards with fines after Friday night's action.
In the earlier fixture, the Dolphins travelled to Brookvale to kill Manly's see-sawing 2026 campaign.
Manly had plenty to play for, including keeping its season alive, star centre Tolutau Koula's 100th NRL game, while also searching for the club's 1000th win.
It was a shut-out on the Northern Beaches, and the Dolphins didn't have to leave second gear in a 22-0 victory that ended the Sea Eagles' season, which at one point looked to have plenty of promise.
Freshly extended prop Simione Laiafi was pulled up within the first 10 minutes of the match for a high shot on Connelly Lemuelu.
The MRC deemed it a grade 1 careless high tackle, and he has been given an early plea of $1000 for his actions.
The rising Tongan forward can contest the charge against him, but if he fails to do so, it will result in an elevated fine of $1500.
Meanwhile, Lemuelu was in the action again, this time for his work on Manly fullback Clayton Faulalo which went undetected at the time of the incident.
In the 16th minute, Lemuelu tackled Faulalo awkwardly in a hip-drop style, resulting in action from the match review committee.
Lemuelu was charged with grade 1 dangerous contact on the returning fullback.
Given it was the Samoan international's first offence with the MRC, he was given a $1000 fine.
Similar to Laiafi, he has the option to fight the charge, but risks an unscaled fine of $1500 if he faces the panel and loses.
There were no charges in the final match of the night when the South Sydney Rabbitohs defeated the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs by a 22-6 scoreline.
It effectively ends the Bulldogs' season, as they now have to rely on other results to go their way for a chance to scrape into the top eight for September.
The Rabbitohs surge into sixth place for the time being, and showed classy attacking ability through the likes of Cody Walker, who is still unsigned for next year.
With David Fifita playing superb footy, and with Latrell Mitchell set to return from an ongoing nerve problem, the Bunnies are making a late push for a deep run into the finals if they can continue their strong trajectory.
