The Titans have signed Sam Stone following the back-rower's release from the Knights, effective immediately.

The 21-year old joins Gold Coast on an 18-month deal, tying him to the club until the end of 2020.

Stone made his NRL debut for the Knights in round one 2017 and went on to play 16  that season. He totalled 18 first-grade games at Newcastle.

Born on the Gold Coast, Stone played his junior rugby league at the Valentine Devils and Lakes United in the Newcastle competition.

Furthermore, the Wests Tigers have released Tyson Gamble from his contract, effective immediately.

The 23-year old was signed through until the end of 2019 but was released so he could return to Queensland.

He made his first-grade debut for the Tigers in round 15 of last season in his only career game.

  1. Wtf seriously why release King just to sign Stone, Bellamy obviously sees something that Titans can’t. Goodluck to King a move to Melbourne will make his career. So much for harnessing Gold Coast local juniors.
