Sea Eagles winger Akuila Uate has played his last game for Manly after the Fijian was officially ruled out for the rest of the season by the club.

The 30-year old suffered a syndesmosis injury during Fiji's clash with Papua New Guinea in the Pacific Test match on Saturday.

The out-of-contract winger signed a lucrative three-year deal to play for Huddersfield in England's Super League in 2019, effectively ending his career as a Sea Eagle.

Uate crossed from Newcastle in 2017, where he was the Knights' all-time leading try-scorer, and totalled 19 tries from 39 games at Manly.
