Eels hooker Cameron King has revealed that he will depart the club this off-season.

The 26-year old announced the news through an Instagram post on Thursday night, thanking Parramatta fans and paying tribute to his time there.

King arrived at the Eels two years ago after stints with the Dragons and Cowboys and made a total of 43 NRL appearances.

King has been hampered by a host of injuries during his time in the league, but was grateful that Eels coach Brad Arthur for giving "me a chance when my career was at a standstill and for that I'll be forever grateful.

"Wasn't how I saw my time finishing here but unfortunately that's the way it goes sometimes which hurts. Not to sure what the next chapter looks like which is scary/exciting but I'm thankful to have been involved with the Parramatta Eels."
