The Dally M Awards are the NRL's night of nights, with the evening a showcase of the game's best talent.

Jillaroos star Ruan Sims is one of a number of judges for the Dally M, and was scheduled to vote on Parramatta's clash with Manly on Sunday afternoon.

However, despite a 2pm start, Sims was in fact playing her own game for Cronulla Caringbah at Shark Park, meaning she wasn't in attendance for the Eels-Sea Eagles clash.

Sims still voted on the game, giving three votes to Mitchell Moses, two to Tim Mannah and one to Manly's Api Koroisau despite the hooker playing on the losing side.

She released a statement on Twitter on Monday, following the initial Daily Telegraph article revealing the news.

An NRL spokesperson has confirmed Sims' votes will stand, but she did confirm on Twitter she would stand down for the rest of the season.
