Penrith forward Viliame Kikau will miss the opening rounds of the season after sustaining a knee injury during the Panthers' clash with South Sydney last Saturday.
Kikau will now be sidelined for the next six weeks as he recovers from the injury, which was diagnosed as a Grade II medial ligament injury on his right knee.
PANTHER FANS: Viliame Kikau has scans today. He has suffered a high grade 2 MCL injury. He will be missing from action for approx 6 weeks. Itโs part of what we do. He will rehab strongly and come back better than ever.

More from our doctor Norm Southern (NRL Physio will have to translate for us). โGrade II+ MCL. I'm hopeful for 6 weeks. It's not mid substance, but toward the insertion, so they tend to heal a little quickerโ. Whatever the hell that means, I like the last two words.
