Penrith Panthers skipper Isaah Yeo is set to re-sign with the club on a long-term extension, to have him remain at the foot of the mountains.
Plenty of speculation has been bubbling away during 2026 about the long-term future of a bunch of Panthers stars off contract at the end of next season, including Yeo.
Although News Corp is reporting Yeo has agreed to an extension with the club, which will see him skyrocket past 350 NRL games in Panthers colours.
His new deal is expected to see him add an extra four years at Penrith from 2026.
There are also negotiations still ongoing of what a post-retirement role at the Panthers looks like.
Yeo has remained one of the Panthers' elite players for a long amount of time, and established himself as the pioneer ball-playing lock in the increased pace era in the NRL.
He is so crucial to the side's success that Yeo is currently playing with a torn pec to give the side every chance of raising the trophy on October next weekend.
Yeo has also flexed his muscle in the representative space, earning captaincy duties for both NSW and Australia for his fearless leadership during the Panthers' dominant four-peat.
Meanwhile, it is understood contract talks with Nathan Cleary are also progressing in the right direction amid heavy speculation of an exit.
Cleary has been tight-lipped for quite some time on what his future looks like, but fresh reports indicate the Panthers remain in the hot seat to secure his services beyond 2027.
The maestro halfback is free to negotiate with rival clubs on November 1 this year for a 2028 contract, and will likely attract interest from more than three thirds of the entire competition given his stature in the game.
With younger brother Jett set to return to Australia to continue his NRL development, Cleary may have the opportunity to play alongside him at Panthers clubland, potentially playing a pivotal role on what his next contract is.
Penrith stars Mitch Kenny, Isaiah Papali'i, Thomas Jenkins, Paul Alamoti and Casey McLean have all committed long-term to the club as they face a fresh chapter under Peter Wallace beyond next season.
